David Roberts, LPC

Counseling Services

Montpelier, ID

David is native to the Bear Lake Valley. Making a difference has always been more important to him than making money. He decided early in life that he would focus his time and talents toward making the world and his community better than he found it–one person or family at a time. After graduating with high honors from Idaho State University, with a bachelor’s degree in psychology, he returned to Idaho State where he earned a master’s degree in counseling. David is now a Board Certified Licensed Professional Counselor with a Solution Focused Brief Therapy and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy orientation. As a graduate student, he majored in marital, couples, and family counseling, and has since accumulated many years of additional experience counseling individuals and families struggling with trauma, abuse, anxiety, depression, grief and loss, and sever and persistent mental illness.

David is married and blessed with three wonderful children. As an armature astronomer, David enjoys hosting star parties, so that others can enjoy the beauties of the night sky through a telescope.

Shae Kunz

Office Manager/Billing

Shae was born in Rexburg, Idaho and was raised primarily in the Bear Lake Valley. She graduated from Bear Lake High School in 2009. Shae is married and has two daughters. Her father is from the Bear Lake Valley and her mother is from the Marsh Valley area. Shae originally started out as the office receptionist in January 2022 and became the office manager in November 2022. Shae’s hobbies are reading, spending time with her family, dirt biking, playing video games, and delving into history.

Trish Wells

Receptionist

Trish was Born in Pomona California, in 1998 her family moved to Utah where she went on to Graduate from Fremont High School in Plain City, Utah. She spent her summers on horseback running barrels and showing in reigning horse competitions as well as competing in beauty pageants until she met and fell in love with a Bear Lake boy, in 2005 she was married to Cordell, and they have lived in the Valley since. Trish and her husband have 4 children, she enjoys watching them compete in wrestling and Livestock shows and events. Trish has her CDL and her CNA. Trish enjoys being able to do a diverse verity of things, however her favorite job to date is being a receptionist at the Bear Lake Memorial Counseling services office.
