Wayne was born in Los Angeles, California and raised here in the Bear Lake Valley. His father was a photographer and mail carrier, his mother a teacher for over 20 years. Wayne graduated “Cum Laude” from Utah State University with a bachelor’s degree in social work and minor is sociology. While at Utah state, Wayne worked as REACH peer for the Counseling and psychological services office. Wayne graduated with his master’s degree in social work from Boise State University. Wayne completed internships at both McKay-Dee hospital in Ogden Utah and Bear Lake Memorial Hospital. Wayne began his career with Bear Lake Memorial hospital counseling services on February 2 of 2015. Wayne also worked as the Executive Director for the Bear Lake Anti-Drug coalition “Enough is Enough” from 2014 through 2018 and as part of the Victim’s assistance unit, helping victims of domestic violence. Wayne is proud to be a bear laker and loves being able to do his part to improve and enhance the community, especially through his work and volunteer efforts. Wayne is experienced in uti8lizing client centered approach in delivering evidence- based interventions, such as CBT, DBT, Heart math, Mindfulness and is trained in EMDR. Wayne is also a trained Ally.
